I Love His House

I Love His House

"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD." -Psalm 122:1

Every Sunday and Wednesday, Christians from around the world gather together to worship the Lord. Unfortunately, many people have come to view this as a chore. Chores are not something that we look forward to doing. They seem to be menial tasks that we know we need to get done, but they don't exactly bring joy when we think of doing them. This perspective on church can be changed... if you want it to! We consider laundry to be a chore, but when you approach laundry with the mindset of being thankful to God for the feet that the socks go into or that you even had the money to purchase the clothes in the first place, it can reset our attitude to one of gratitude and make us more likely to enjoy the menial things. Church can be handled the same way. When you look at church in the United States verses many other countries in the world, we have a God-given, Constitution-protected ability to worship God without fear of reprisal. Also, the fact that the God of Heaven would be so concerned with us as to allow us a time to come to His house to worship should be enough to drive us to the want to go to church instead of having to go to church! So, let's not let this blessing go to waste!
